WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AT OUR WORKSHOP
BRANDING AND CREATING YOUR OWN GAME STUDIO
To start with we will get you into teams of 3-4 and let you begin creating your game studio! Work as a team to decide what your official game studio’s name will be, and what your logo and branding will look like!
Once you’ve got your new game studio set up, it’s time to decide what job roles each team member will take on. Who will be project manager? Arty and creative people can choose 3D Modeller, and bookworms might want to choose writer.
WORKING IN TEAMS TO CREATE YOUR NEW GAME IDEA
Here your team will start creating the concept for your new game! Deciding as a team what type of game you will make, what the game will be called, conceptualising characters, assets, weapons, levels and everything else you’ll need to bring this game to life!
Draw out all your ideas along with written descriptions and information on what they might do in your new game.
LEARN HOW TO 3D MODEL YOUR IDEAS USING BLOCKBENCH
Now the really fun stuff! Its time to take your game development into production! Use the laptops and learn how to use Blockbench to create the 3D models for all your characters, assets and weapons!
We will walk you through all the basics of the software and get you making your own 3D models throughout this session. Everyone gets a go!
